There is good news for the hardworking students studying in Punjab that Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Honhaar scholarship program for them. Under this program, scholarships of 130 billion rupees will be provided to talented students in eight years. Scholarships will be given to 30,000 students annually in 68 disciplines under Honahar Scholarship and the number of students will be increased to 120,000 within four years.


This scholarship is being provided to the students of 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges. To apply for this scholarship, the official website has been launched by the government and the educational criteria and requirements to get the scholarship have also been announced.

Educational Requirements and Criteria For the Honhaar Scholarship Program

As the name itself suggests, Maryam Nawaz Honhaar Scholarship Program, this scholarship will be given only to talented and hardworking students. For this reason, an eligibility criteria for registration has also been made in this scholarship, only those who will meet this eligibility criteria will be provided with the scholarship.

  • All candidates must have a domicile of any district of the Punjab.
  • You must be under 22 years of age.
  • The family income of the candidates should be less than three lakh rupees per month for which an affidavit will be taken.
  • Applicant must be enrolled in selected subjects in selected universities and colleges for autumn session 202 Freshly enrolled MBBS and BDS students in 2024 will also be eligible for this scholarship.

  • You should have more than 80% marks in your FSC or Intermediate to apply in medical colleges.
  • Score more than 80% to apply to top universities
  • 75% marks for applying to Public Sector University 75% marks for applying to Science and 70% marks for applying to Arts and Social Science
  • 65% marks in science subject and 60% marks in arts subject are required in HED colleges.

The process of applying for this scholarship is very easy. The online portal has been launched by the government to provide facilities to the students. You can complete your registration by visiting honhaarscholarship.punjbabhec.gov.pk. The step-by-step registration process is as follows:

  • First of all, you have to go to Honahar Scholarship Portal.
  • There you have to click on the apply button.
  • You will be given the option to create an account.
  • In this you will be asked for some information, in which you have to enter your Nationality, Institute, CNIC Number, Email, and Password, after entering this information, you have to click on the submit button.

After that, you have to log in to the account. To log in to the account, you will use your ID card as your username, and after entering the password that was created, click on the login button. You will see the dashboard of the Honahar Scholarship Program where you have to submit your application.

  • Here you are first given the eligibility criteria which you have to read carefully and then press the next button.
  • After that, you have to add your personal details in which you have to select your name, your father’s name, your gender, your home mobile number, your mobile number, college or university, date of admission, student. Enter the registration number, select the program discipline select the degree title, and then upload your photograph.
  • In the second step, you have to enter the requested information about your residence and address
  • During the third step, you will be asked about your education in which you have to enter all the information asked about your previous education correctly.
  • In the fourth step, you will be asked about your father’s employment status, you have to enter all the information.
  • On the fifth screen, your parent’s information will be asked, and you have to enter their CNIC number, mobile number, etc.
  • In the sixth step, the number of your family members and their information will be asked
  • In the seventh step, information about your income assets will be taken from you
  • In the 8th step, your financial information will be taken, asking how you spend your financial income.
  • In the ninth column, you have to write about transport whether you own a motorcycle, a car, or a bicycle, etc.
  • Within the 10th step, you have to upload your educational documents including your Bay Form CNIC and Result Card.
  • In the 11th step, you have to review your information and check that there is nothing wrong and then submit the form.
  • All your information will go to the Government of Pakistan. Your information will be verified by your school and NADRA. After Verification scholarship will be given every month.
