Eligibility Criteria for the Ehsaas Program Payment

An eligibility criteria has also been made for registration in the Ehsaas Program and for receiving financial assistance. It is not possible for the Government of Pakistan to provide financial assistance to all the poor, only those who are poor and deserving are given financial assistance. That is why an eligibility criteria has been made by the government and those who meet this eligibility criteria are registered. 10500 rupees assistance is given after every three months. The eligibility criteria are as follows.

  • You must have a poverty score of less than 32 to receive financial assistance from the Ehsaas program.
  • MT score is kept at 35 for widows to be eligible.
  • Victims of natural disasters and epidemics can also avail financial assistance from the Ehsaas programme.
  • Those who are above 65 years of age and fall on the PMT score will be given financial assistance.
  • Individuals who have not more than two acres of land registered in their name are also eligible under this program.
  • People with disabilities can also register in this program and get financial assistance
  • Unemployed persons are also given temporary assistance through this program

Required Documents for Application

At the time of registration in Ehsaas program, you also need some documents, these documents are helpful in your NSER. And it holds a verification and information about your financial situation. Therefore, you must carry these documents with you, otherwise your verification will fail and you will be disqualified.

  • Child Form B (for Taleemi Wazaif)

How to Register for the Ehsaas Program

The procedure of registration in Ehsaas program is very easy, you can do your registration easily sitting at home. Government of Pakistan has introduced a portal for registration in this portal you can ensure your registration by entering your information. But if you are not literate and you are not given much information about online registration then you don’t need to worry BISP Tehsil Offices have been launched by Government of Pakistan.


You can complete your registration by going to these offices, A form is given to you in these offices and you can complete your registration by filling this form. You have to enter all the information in the NSER form and then submit the form to the office.


You don’t need to worry if you are not able to fill this form because there are government representatives in Benazir Income Support Program office who will fill this form for you. After registration, your form is submitted to BISP head office, your information is verified, after verification, a confirmation message is sent to your mobile number.

Checking Your Registration Status

After registration you have to check about your application status which is very easy. The government has introduced an SMS code to make it easier for people to check their application status at home. You have to send your ID card or your application number via SMS to 8171. You will receive a confirmation message from the government shortly. Sometimes if you do not receive this message, you can also check the status of your application online.


You have to go to the 8171 web portal, there you will see a forum in front of you, in this form you have to enter your 13 digit ID card or consumer ID. After that you have to enter the verification captcha code shown in the image and press the confirm button.


You will be informed about the status of your application immediately. If you are eligible, you will be informed about the amount, if you are not eligible, you will be informed on which date you can do your next survey.

Common Mistakes to Avoid During Application

Many people make mistakes during registration due to which their verification fails and they are disqualified. Here we will tell you what mistakes you make during registration that gets you disqualified. Below are some of the common mistakes that lead to disqualification:

  • Your identity card is not updated
  • Not having your fingerprint verified
  • Non-production of Family Registration Certificate
  • A passport or bank account in your name is the most important reason for ineligibility
