Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Chief Minister Solarization Program for the solarization of agricultural tube wells in Punjab. Eligibility Criteria for Farmers

- The applicant must be a resident of Punjab and must own agricultural land within the same district where the application is submitted.
- The applicant should have an electric or fuel tube well with a power requirement of up to 15 KW and the connection should be installed on or before 31 March 2024.
- The depth of tube well should not exceed 60 feet and should have three phase electrical connection.
- Farmers who have not paid their electricity bills will not be considered for the programme.
- The applicant should not be a creditor of any agriculture department.
